Dallas's career as a skin therapist was an indirect journey. She studied at the University of Sioux Falls and majored in fine arts with an emphasis in oil painting and minored in business. After graduation she was troubled with a case of acne that led her to seek out treatment that was non prescription related. In doing so, she discovered the skincare industry and treatments that helped the skin with a more holistic approach. She quickly realized that her love for art and science would be fulfilled working as an aesthetician. Her clients are her work of art. She likes to call them "walking canvases". In 2006, she attended Stewart's School of Esthetics in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she graduated at the top of her class. After graduation she established Okoboji Skin Care in Milford, Iowa and practiced for 1 1/2 years in that location. Business grew quickly and she realized that her need for a larger establishment was necessary. In the spring of 2008 she relocated Okoboji Skin Care to a suite in Okoboji. Now in their 11th year in business, Okoboji Skin Care celebrates providing medi spa services to the Iowa Great Lakes area and surrounding areas. She has continued her education as an esthetician by attending the International Dermal Institute classes in Minneapolis and Chicago as well as her training in microblading at the MicrobladingLA academy under the instruction of world microblading champion, Lindsay Ta.
"Beauty isn't just one thing. Beauty is often a combination of many aspects, including health and knowledge of products and ingredients as well as esthetic appeal and preference. We love to take our clients on that journey as they discover the beauty inside of each of them. "In our future, we have plans to continue to grow and strive to take skincare to the next level, not only for Okoboji, but for Northwest Iowa."
